Keep Indianapolis Beautiful's Youth Tree Team gives high school students across Marion County hands-on workforce experience — and IndyGo Foundation bus fare grants help make sure transportation is never a barrier to showing up.
Keep Indianapolis Beautiful (KIB) is an environmental and community nonprofit that works with neighbors and volunteers to create vibrant public spaces, helping people and nature thrive.
Through their Youth Tree Team — a seven-week summer employment program — KIB provides high school students across Marion County with meaningful workforce development opportunities through tree care work. Many of these participants don't have driver's licenses, making reliable public transportation essential to their ability to participate.
IndyGo Foundation's bus fare grant helps ensure that transportation is never the reason a young person misses out on a job, a skill, or a paycheck.
"Our Youth Tree Team is a critical part of our mission, especially for tree maintenance."
